Both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 will be during EA's fiscal third quarter, which runs Oct. Publisher Electronic Arts already has another shooter on the books for that month: Battlefield 1. The poster on Reddit also claims that Titanfall 2 will be out this October. What it does feature are some familiar elements: Titans, pilots and infantry doing battle in a futuristic sci-fi setting. The piece of artwork posted by that Reddit user ("ilovegoogleglass") doesn't appear to feature a grappling hook (nor the sword teased in Titanfall 2's first trailer), though it does match a teaser image posted to the game's official website. That grappling hook, the Reddit user said, is used for "getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they're midair." Titanfall 2 will also apparently feature larger multiplayer maps. A user claiming to have knowledge of Respawn Entertainment's next game posted that gameplay detail alongside a piece of legitimate-looking artwork to back up their claim.

Since these would likely be two of the key new gameplay concepts, their absence from what is supposedly promotional artwork is conspicuous. It's worth noting that the image doesn't feature a grappling hook or the sword revealed in the teaser trailer.

The grappling hook can reportedly be used for getting into Titans from a distance, pulling enemies out of the air, and to extending free-running. The leak also says developer Respawn Entertainment has introduced "a ton of new pilot abilities including the addition of a grappling hook." This period spans October 2016 through to the end of December 2016. This falls in line with previous indications from publisher EA, which previously confirmed in an earnings report that it is scheduled for a fiscal Q3 release.
